Tenerife-Training.net wanted a fast-loading, high-ranking website that was also informative and multi-lingual. We translated all the main pages into no less than 12 separate languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish and Russian. This site still looks good today (let’s not talk about mobile).
Incidentally, this was our second website based on the wordpress core code. Our first ever wordpress site was a simple blog. Our first-ever website (shown below) was coded by hand, the entire thing, meaning starting with a <html> tag and then ending with </html>. The index file contained just over a hundred lines of code. It could have easily been minified and come in well under 100 lines of code. It was 6kb in size. That’s not much. Watch how quickly it loads today. So there you go. That was almost exactly 15 years ago (next month). A little later it grew and so it looked like this. Haven’t websites come a long way? We think so!
